whoa..that was a long silence of post..it took an effort to pull off that amount of silence..
the story is, i'm once again on my way to sit for another ridiculous exam, which, in all honestly, does nothing much to my career except for gaining me better bragging rights..again, i'm heading to a land far - far away..edinburgh this time around..the after exam trip is kinda more anticipated though..finally going to italy..
aaaanyways, hopefully i'll quit making an effort to keep silent after this..
wish me luck..

Doctors day?
Yes folks, I just found out that there is such a thing as a 'doctor's day'..
It is celebrated on 1st of July in India, March 30th in US of A and Hungary and finally March 14th in Turkey. In India, its actually to dedicate the day to someone who happened to be a doctor who did a lot of service to their country..so it's more of a 'doctor day' rather then 'doctors'. The people who celebrate it on the 30th of March did so because it was the day the first surgery was done with general anesthesia. The Turks celebrate it on 14th march to commemorate the day they opened their first modern medical school.
As you can see, the dates and reasons it's celebrated is as divided as the profession itself..
The people of India is actually celebrating a person rather then the profession
The Yanks celebrated a new way of getting high
The Hungarians decided to follow the yanks and 'one up' them cause its a public holiday in Hungary
And the Turks have their own agenda like always..
Personally, i dont think it'll ever catch on..
And honestly, i think that it is unnecessary..
besides, a simple 'thank you' at then end of the consult is worth way more..
p/s: Cant help but to picture a highly paid US plastic surgeon in his Porche getting stopped at the car park by a little girl with a 'happy doctors day' card..ahahaha..damm you highly paid US surgeons...

Intelligence?
I had a toothache since yesterday..
Had my 2- 8 (wisdom tooth) pulled out today..
does that make me less intelligent?
to be honest' if there's anything i feel right now, is that i'm pissed at the dentist that saw me about 4 months ago..
went for my 6 monthly dental check up..she said everything was fine..no cavities etc..just minimal scaling done..
if everything was "fine", why the hell did my tooth literally broke off into one giant cavity..
that didnt happen overnight
should have been spotted during the check up..
thats it for today folks..
p/s: yes...i'm in pain because they had to take out my 2-8..

Coming home..
When i was studying in dublin, i was a bit of a music geek..i used to hang around in the music room a lot..
and it was a really cool music room..it had a guitar, bass and a complete drum set..the best thing about it was that it was soundproof so you can jamm anytime you feel like.. the story is that i didn't have an electric guitar back then but i had a lot of tiny gadgets to hook on to the amps to make the sound heavier..of all these gadgets, the best one was an orange distortion pedal..that was a cool effect..
anyways, when i came back to m'sia, i couldn't find that distortion pedal..i didn't know if i misplaced it or if someone 'borrowed' it from the music room..this was around the time which i became less of a jamming freak so i didn't pursue to finding my distortion pedal too much..now, to be honest i wouldn't have even remembered that i had one in the first place..
the story is, one of the doctors in my hospital suddenly approached me in the operating theater the other day..he was my junior in college..i've never spoken to this guy and i only know he's my junior cause he wears a white coat with my college emblem on it..anyways, the first thing he asked me if i played guitar..and i was partially shocked..so i just played along.. apparently, somehow, miraculously, he found my distortion pedal 2 years after i left ireland..he only realized it was mine after nearly 2 years of working in the same hospital as me..he said he was looking at that thing when he was playing guitar then only noticed a small sticker with my name on it..he said he'd give it a shot and ask me..
it was a nice surprise to get my distortion pedal back..
moral of the story - labelling works..
p/s: what can you label today? ehehe..

Haircuts..
I just had my hair cut the other day..it had occurred to me to get the haircut when the mop head i saw in the kitchen looked unwittingly similar to whats on my head..so anyways, i went to my usual barber shop. yes, barber shop..not a saloon but a barber shop.. I have nothing against a guy going to a 'stylist' or saloon for a haircut but i just feel they're missing out..By my standards, a good barber knows how to crack your neck after the haircut..you know what i'm talkin about..its the part where they turn your head just the right amount to make your cervical spine articulation joints to pop..err..i dont quite know how else to put it ut you should get what i mean..rite? anyways, i dont know if its only done here in malaysia but i feel its quite a malaysian barber thing..i know people who actually is against this thing..for varied reasons i might add..but all i can say is youre missing out..besides, its kind of a free chiropractic treatment or somethin..its gotta be rite? eheheh...
anyways, exams over..now just have to wait for the results..dont really know whats coming my way now..
guess ill find out t'row..but first, some sleep..later..
p/s: maybe a quick movie first before i fall asleepp...hmmm..

I'm going to be famous..
I't not what you think..
i was just reading some stuff in Baileys when the sheer randomness of my brain got me remembering about a book i once read when i was 9..or 10..cant really recall exactly when.
the tittle was ' i'm going to be famous'.
it was about this kid named Arlo Moore from Oregon or something..
He suddenly had this notion to be famous..and he decided that the best way to do it was to eat a lot of bananas really fast..the record at that time was by Dr. Ronald L.Alkana. He ate seventeen bananas in two
minutes. He did it at the University of California in Irvine on December 7, 1973.
it was a fun book at that time..
What interested me most was that the world record for eating bananas really fast was actually held by a doctor..
seriously..how the hell did he come up with that?
i mean, this guy was a pure genius man..
'cant win the Nobel prize? no problem. i'll just eat bananas really fast to be famous..'
why cant i come up with something like that? not that i'm really keen on being famous or anything, but you gotta appreciate the method in his madness..
and to clarify to everyone, the answer is yes..that is how far my mind travels when i'm supposed to be studying and memorizing useful stuff..
later..
p/s: need a break..movie anyone?

Lucky number 11000..
hello everybody..
whats up?
hows things?
as you can see, i'm blogging again..
this means either 1 of 2 things..
1. i have something to share to the world or..
2. i'm taking my exams again and i'm too bored studying..
in this instance, its actually both..
its a sunday afternoon and the weather is too hot..cant concentrate studying..
(i know its a lame excuse but it's good enough in my head to make me stop studying and write this note..)
yesterday i was over at my friends house when something unexpected happened..
i became lucky number 11000..
congratulation NM for the achievement of getting people hooked on random opinionated thoughts on anything and everything..
anyways..better get back to it..
later..
p/s: 30 is the new 23..
