I've always thought that elevators were an awkward place to be..you step into a small room with other people you dont know and basically stand around doing nothing..its just awkward..
they did a lot of experiments in the 50's about elevator psychology..anywhere in the world, is the same story..
next time you're in an elevator, try and look for the telltale signs of awkwardness..
some people look at the floor
some people look at their watches
others will fidget
and the number 1 sign of awkwardness is .. drum roll please..its looking up to check at that numbered display..
most elevators nowadays actually announce which floor youre at but people still stare at that number
they do that for a reason..
they're quietly thinking to them self wishing for the ordeal to be over with...
dont believe me?
next time youre in the elevator, go to the back and look at the other people..
everyone will deal with it in their own way..
plus, by doing this, you will gain a sudden false sense of superiority and lose your own awkward feeling..

the s*it i do keep from feeling useless in an elevator..
